Stockbridge Elementary School
Graduating Class of 2030/2031
Learning Opportunities
Stephanie Colton, a local elementary school teacher, has been visiting our sugarhouse over the past 15 years as a learning opportunity for her students. Marking the “date” on the calendar, counting down and then reliving the experience a few days later with a Sugar-on-Snow party complete with dill pickles and doughnuts. Stephanie says “its lots of fun and great learning involved”. We look forward to their visit every year and all the students get excited with a little parting gift of hot off the press maple syrup.

Woodstock High School
FFA PROGRAM
On March 28th the Woodstock FFA program came for a tour of our sugarhouse. My brother, Mark, has two boys also in the program. Mark gave them a tour of our operation and answered questions regarding our operation. Most of the students either have family members or work for maple syrup producers in the area. I wanted to thank Mr. John Hier for taking the time to bring most of his class (20 students) to our neck of the woods.
Q&A
Gathering all the students to give them an overview of our system and a chance to answer any questions they might have.
Steam Away
Giving the students time to check out the steam away system.

The Art of Maple Syrup
Rob Lamothe was as entertaining as informative in the process of making maple cream, maple candy and maple covered nuts. He has been in the industry since 1971 and has his own maple farm located in Burlington, Connecticut.
Filling maple leaf molds; Rob stated it is faster and easier to fill the forms by hand.
